24”x24” Mixed Media on canvas
The surface has been worked by pressure and time — coiling forms in rust, amber, and olive push against one another, neither fully contained nor fully released. Two movements inhabit the same space: one folding inward, one opening outward, caught in the moment between. The cracked and layered ground holds the evidence of what came before. Copper edges the canvas, warm and conducting, as if the energy moving through the piece has nowhere left to go but out. Something long compressed is finding its way through.
